About the event

Join us for a magical tour taking you to some of the most influential songwriting places in Liverpool. Starting at Hotel Tia our 2 Hour tour will commence in Woolton at St Peters churchyard in Woolton, the burial place of Eleanor Rigby & also where two young lads met by chance at a church fete for the first time, as they say the rest is history.

A songwriting partnership that has transcended generations & their music is a popular today as it was back in the 60’s. We also take in the birthplaces of John, Paul & Ringo. Let us take you down to Strawberry Fields & see the Iconic red gates a perfect opportunity for a photo. Take a minute to unwind & dream before moving onto the world-famous Penny Lane, it still has the famous barber shop also close by is Penny Lane sports field, past home of Liverpool schoolboys who went on to achieve fame.

Players such as Fowler, Rooney, McManaman, Gerard, Labone & Joe Fagan to name a few. A breeding ground of talent Liverpool schoolboys have won the under 15 English trophy, known as schoolboy FA cup, more than double of any other schools FA in the Country.

We will visit Penny Lane Development Trust, located next to the sports field. A great gift shop with loads of unique Beatles-material. If we are lucky we might also bump in to Colin Hanton, the legendary drummer in the Quarrymen. On the same site is the pub Dovedale Towers. This is the pub where Jürgen Klopp filmed the Erdinger Advert and also where Freddie Mercury lived when studying  in Liverpool.

As our tour ends, we will return back to hotel Tia for a complementary drink, sharing old memories & making new ones
